Traditional western red cedar hull, stainless steel keel plate, zinc ballast casting. This small 12 inch sailboat balances perfectly and will sail right across any size lake or bay. Perfect for swimming pools or wading pools. Fun to chase from a canoe, kayak, rowboat or even an air mattress! Sails beautifully on a light line from shore. Use the Boat Reel to control from shore. With the line on the bow, your T12 will sail way out; a light tug on the line will tack your boat and it will sail smoothly back to you. Woven Nylon Spinnaker Cloth sails and solid brass fittings. The weight in the keel makes the boat completely self righting so it can never capsize. The wood hull makes it unsinkable; a real lifetime toy! Ages 3 through adult.

Varnish Kit

Model Sailboat Varnish Kit Contents

The Varnish Kit includes everything necessary to give your boat a beautiful, varnished finish that will last for years of fun. The kit includes: One vial of high quality marine varnish, professional quality varnish brush, 220 grit sand paper, and varnishing tips and instructions.

Table Stand

The Table Stand sits on a table or shelf and displays your Tippecanoe Free-Sailing Boat beautifully. It is made of marine-grade 316 stainless steel.

The Wall Stand hangs from an ordinary picture hook and is made of solid brass.

Boat Reel

The Boat Reel allows you to sail your Free-Sailing boat from shore. Attach the line of the Boat Reel to the bow (the front of the boat) and let your boat go. Your boat can sail out farther than 1/8 mile. To bring your boat back, tug on the line. The bow will spin around, the sails will tack themselves and your boat will sail back.

2. T15 Racing Sloop

Bigger than the T12, the T15 is faster and more powerful for sailing in stronger winds and bigger waves. The T15 is a superb free-sailing boat. Like the T12 the hull is solid western red cedar, fittings are solid brass and sails are nylon spinnaker cloth.

This 15 inch boat is also unsinkable and self-righting. Cannot capsize and sails beautifully on a light line like the Boat Reel or a fishing reel. Your T15 will sail far out, a light tug on the line will turn your boat back towards you and she will sail elegantly back to you. The kit is easily assembled in 50 minutes and can be painted or varnished for extra beauty and longevity. Even without paint or varnish, the western red cedar hull will last for many years.

Our fastest and finest Free Sailing boat, the T-Class Racing Sloop, also known as the T18 measures 18 inches long.

There are over 17,000 of these beautiful T18 Tippecanoe boats sailing around the world. Each one comes with an individually numbered Ship’s Papers signed by Master Boat Builder and Designer, Will Lesh. The beautiful Western Red Cedar hull will last for generations of young sailors.

The fittings are solid brass, the keel is stainless steel with a zinc ballast casting and the sails are nylon spinnaker cloth. Set the rudder hard over to sail in circles or slightly to windward to sail straight downwind. Sail farther than any of the other boats on a light line with the Boat Reel or a fishing reel.
